What is ariat.com's return policy?
You can return most items purchased at ariat.com for free, with a prepaid return label. Free returns apply to domestic purchases that you return within 90 days of purchase.
- Products should be unworn and still have their tags and original packaging
- Products marked final sale are not eligible for returns.
- Unfortunately, we can't refund shipping charges.
- If you made your purchase at an authorized retailer, follow their return policy.
How do I return my ariat.com order?
We make returns as easy as possible. To return one or more items from an order, simply enter your email address and order number here. We'll email you a Return Initiated email with a prepaid shipping label and packing slip to print. Place the packing slip and the items you're returning in a box and tape the shipping label to the outside. Drop the box off at the carrier listed on the shipping label. We will send you a Return Confirmation email as soon as we receive and process your return. Your purchase will be refunded to your credit card or other form of payment within about 14 business days.
How can I track my return?
To track your return, click the link in the Return Initiated email you received when you requested your return. Or, click here and enter your order number and email address.
Where is my refund?
We'll send you a Return Confirmation email as soon as we've processed your return and issued the refund to your original form of payment. From there, it may take up to 14 business days for the refund to be reflected on your statement. Exact timing depends on the credit card or other company processing the refund. If your original order was paid for using an Ariat gift card, we will email a new gift card in the refund amount to the email address on the order.
Ariat strives to process refunds within the 12-14 business day window. Unfortunately, there may be circumstances that are beyond our control and resources. Processing refunds may be delayed due to a delay in shipments received or holiday surge. For more information, please contact returns@ariat.com.
How do I return multiple items?
When you request a return, you will be able to select the items you wish to return from a single order. When packing that return, please be sure to include only the items you selected when you requested the return. If you request returns for multiple orders, please ship each return separately using the separate packing lists and shipping labels provided. We can't process multiple returns that are shipped in a single box. Any non-Ariat products will be returned to sender.
Exchanges
Can I exchange my ariat.com purchase for a similar item?
Exchanges for a different size of the same item can be initiated online. If you need to exchange for a different color or a different item, please contact Customer Service.
Through our online exchange process, you’ll order the new size at no charge and get a free return shipping label. After we receive and process your return, we’ll ship your new items and send you a shipping confirmation. Exchanged products will not ship until we have processed your return. Your exchange will ship within 3 to 4 business days after processing. Since there can be transit delays, please ship your return package immediately upon requesting an exchange.
If your exchange is canceled, you’ll receive a cancellation email. You may still return your order for a refund to your original form of payment.
Please note: Inventory moves quickly, especially during holidays and sale times, so we encourage you to place your online exchange sooner rather than later to avoid missing out.
International orders are not eligible for exchange. If the option to Exchange is not visible when you select returns, your item is not eligible for exchange.
Ordering and Payment
Preorder and Backorder Products
We sometimes offer select products for preorder or backorder. During checkout at the time of purchase, you'll see an estimated ship date. The product may ship before or after this date.
Note that you can only use credit cards to buy preorder or backorder products. PayPal, Apple Pay, Afterpay, and Ariat gift cards can't be used for preorder or backorder product purchases.

What types of payment does Ariat accept?
We accept domestic credit cards and a variety of online payment forms:
- Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express
- PayPal
- Afterpay
- Apple Pay
- Ariat gift cards
Why do I see multiple charges on my credit card?
We ship orders from multiple warehouses, so you might see separate charges on your account as the items are shipped from our different warehouses. This doesn't change the total charge for your order.
For credit card purchases there may be an additional $1 as part of the authorization to account for taxes. Taxes at time of checkout is an estimate that is finalized at time of invoice.
Alternative payments
If you pay with a one-time-use credit card from a provider such as Klarna or QuadPay, please contact that provider if you run into any issues, as these providers are not on our list of approved providers.
Order Changes/Cancellations
Can I cancel or make changes to my order?
Once your order is placed, we work as fast as we can to get it to you. We can't cancel or make any changes to an order once it’s placed. If you're not completely satisfied with your Ariat product, we offer free domestic returns within 90 days of purchase.
Why was my order canceled?
Inventory levels change all the time, so even though we do everything we can to prevent cancellations, they occasionally happen. If your order is canceled, the temporary authorization on your credit card or other form of payment will expire automatically in 5-10 business days, depending on your payment provider. Please check in a few weeks to see if your product is back in stock.
Waitlist
When will my waitlisted item be in stock?
The same day we receive an item, we will send you an email letting you know that your waitlisted item is available for purchase. Waitlisted items typically arrive in our warehouses within 3 months, but extended delays sometimes occur.
Order Status
How do I check my order status?
If you have an ariat.com account, go here to check your order status by logging in and clicking "Account detail." If you checked out as a guest, go here and enter your order number (18XXXXXX) and email address. Your order number can be found in your confirmation email.
